Harriet ("Hatti") Dean (born 2 February 1982 in Oxford, England) is a British long-distance runner.
In August 2008 it was announced she would be unable to compete in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing due to a stress fracture to her ankle.[1]
Dean set three National records in the 3000m Steeplechase in 2007, most notably at a rain soaked event at Don Valley Stadium in July of that year.[2] She has represented her country in the World Cross Country Championships in Fukuoka in 2006 and in Mombasa in 2007 where she was 15th and the top British finisher. On the 30th July 2010 Dean ran in the steeplechase final of the 2010 European Athletics Championships in Barcelona. During the race she took over 8 seconds off her personal best.
Hatti finished 7th and top British finisher in the 2010 European Cross-Country Championships in Albufeira, Portugal, and 21st in the 2011 World Cross-Country Championships in Punta Umbria, Spain.
